Managing Cleanrooms and Controlled Environments Course

This two-day course provides practical and theoretical information on contamination control and cleanroom management. Extensive guidance will be presented on all operational areas – design, certification, personnel, cleaning and sanitization, environmental monitoring, and supplies. Topics of discussion will include – overview of design and qualification, people and particles, training, methods for surface contamination control, repair and maintenance technologies, start-up of a facility, updates of standards including the revision of ISO 14644-1 and the application, HVAC PQ outline and requirements, environmental monitoring and frequencies, smoke studies, and the management of controlled environments both classified and non-classified. Emphasis is placed on new developments and methods for operating every level of classified and non-classified but controlled areas.
All attendees will receive a Certificate from Western Nevada College for this course in addition to CEUs.
Attendees will gain practical knowledge in the area of contamination control for cleanrooms and controlled environments. The new standards for classification of cleanrooms will be discussed. They will learn how to evaluate certification, smoke studies, environmental monitoring, personnel issues, cleanroom supplies and garments, cleaning and sanitization issues and rotation, assess their training program, and manage their daily requirements. All other new standards will be discussed including: EU Annex 15, ISO 14644–1,2,3, and proposed changes to other ISO standards.
